Westholme is a manufacturer and supplier of moving and handling equipment for the health care sector.
Now part of the Canadian based Prism Medical group, Westholme has a history which dates back to 1984, when Chairman Colin Ayrton, created the company as a manufacturer and reseller of patient hoist, slings, and shower chair equipment.

Following Westholme’s merger with moving and handling experts, Grimstead Medical, in October 2002, Westholme now provides a wide range of moving and handling solutions for occupational therapists, ADL and the rehabilitation and patient care markets.

Westholme has a national team of surveyors who visit clients on site to provide free of charge product surveys, installation and on-going service and support for it’s ceiling track hoists and mobile floor hoists, as well as supplying a vast range of patient slings, either off the shelf or tailor made for the client.

A separate arm of the company, Westholme Education, provides free patient Moving and handling training for carers from it’s training centres in Elland, West Yorkshire, Hemel Hempstead and London, where it has formed a partnership with the Disabled Living Foundation (DLF).
