Treloar School and College Summer Fete- Westholme and Ferrari
Westholme and Ferrari are probably two companies you’d never expect working together however as the picture shows this event actually did happen on Sunday 18th June at the Treloar School and College’s summer fete.
For 100 years Treloar Trust has been providing first class education, therapy, medical support and training in independence for young people aged from 6 – 20 years with physical disabilities in a caring and supportive environment. The aim of the Trust is to give students at both Treloar School and Treloar College, both based in Alton, Hampshire, the opportunity to develop their confidence and skills to enable them to achieve their potential in all aspects of life.
The trust arranged Ferrari rides for the students as part of the fun day but they needed some way of transferring the students into the Ferraris and unfortunately their Mobile Hoists wouldn’t raise high enough. That’s when they contacted us at Westholme to see if we could help. They had seen our Sequoia system which had the ideal height and width required for the students to be safely hoisted into the cars.
The Sequoia portable hoisting system is ideal for situations where either an urgent hoisting solution is required or the requirement for hoisting is only short term. Used in conjunction with the Westholme Transportable II hoist, the gantry is adjustable in both width and height and can be used on uneven or different height floors. There is no requirement for specialist installation and for which no tools are required.
As you can see by the boys face, the students thoroughly enjoyed the car rides and Westholme were exceptionally glad to play a part in making this possible for them.
