Transfer Boards

The purpose of transfer boards are to bridge the gap between two surfaces at a similar height, i.e. wheelchair to chair, bed to chair. The patient can then move across the board from one surface to another. This transfer can be carried out independently or assisted by a carer depending on the patients ability but the patient will need to have good upper body strength to perform this manoeurve.
